China Southern Airlines allows free carry-on or hand baggage in domestic and international flights depending upon the class of travel.

In case the hand luggage exceeds the weight, quantity or dimension, it will be taken as a check-in baggage.
Besides, one of the personal items, such as coat, shawl, or rug; small sized camera, binoculars, hand bag are also allowed on-board. Infant food, stroller or baby basket is allowed for infants. Mobility assistive device and other equipment for special needs passengers can also be carried on board.
In case of carriage of lithium-ion batteries, it is their rating which determines how will these will carried. For batteries of less than 100 kWh, you are allowed to carry 2 such pcs in your carry baggage and does not have to be declared at the airport. For batteries of power 100-160 kWh, there is a need for prior declaration and approval before boarding. Batteries of rating more than 116 cms have to be transported as cargo.
Liquids are not allowed in more than 100 ml quantity in cabin.

Checked baggage allowance and excess baggage charges on China Southern is dependent on sector of travel and cabin class of travel. For this purpose the international countries have been divided into 3 different zones.
Zone 1: journeys between Japan, Americas, Southwest Pacific, United Arab Emirates (Note 1), Kenya and China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan); Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central & Western Asia, Europe (except Russia), Africa, Middle East, America, and routes originating from Russia to China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan)

Flights between Urumqui and Dubai allow 1 pcs of 23 kg in Economy and 1 pcs of 32 kg in Premium Economy. Rest is same as in Table above.
Zone 2: journeys between Central & Western Asia (Uzbekistan/ Tajikistan/ Kazakhstan/ Kyrgyzstan/ Turkmenistan/ Iran/ Pakistan/ Azerbaijan/ Georgia, etc), Turkey and China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), routes originating from China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) to Russia, and routes originating from Singapore to China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan)

Within Mainland China
For travelling on domestic flights within the mainland China, you are charged at per kg rate which is determined on the basis of 1.5% of full adult one-way economy class ticket price. This ticket price is the one which is applicable on day of billing. In case there is no direct flight fare being published, the fare of different segments are added and then the per kg rate is calculated.
International Travel
For international flights, the charges are determined on the basis of excess weight, number of pcs and size of luggage. The following charges apply for tickets bought on or after 18 Mar, 2019.

Overseas students are those who have not yet attained the age of 30 and are enrolled in regular schools in places not of their nationality. They shall have bought Economy or Premium Economy tickets. Passport, Valid ID and admission letter is to be provided at the time of buying tickets. The routes for which this special allowance would be applicable are:
(1) Routes between China Mainland and Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, Taiwan
(2) Routes between Europe and Australia, New Zealand
(3) Routes between China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and Singapore
(4) Routes between China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and Australia, New Zealand, North America, Europe, Africa, Central & Western Asia, South Korea
Labourers working in another country other than that of their country of nationality, are required to present passport and employment visa at the time of ticket purchase and attached to the finance coupon. They must have bought Economy or Premium Economy tickets. It is applicable for following routes:
(1) Routes between China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and Central & Western Asia (except Tajikistan), South Korea, Southeast Asia, South Asia (except Bangladesh),
(2) Routes between South Korea and Central & Western Asia, South Asia

Yes, cabin bag and personal items are also free in addition to check in bag. Normally, check in bag is only mentioned in the ticket. For the Health Code app, please check with the airline.

Since all children are above 2 years of age, they are entitled to same allowance as that of adults.
If tickets booked are in Economy, check in allowance is 1 bag of 23 kg per passenger. If tickets booked are in Premium Economy, then check-in allowance is 1 bag of 32 kg. Stroller can be taken in check-in baggage. It has to be fully collapsible.

Basic economy ticket does not have free allowance. Economy class tickets are allowed 1 bag of up to 23 kg and the Premium Economy tickets are allowed 2 bags of 23 kg each.

If guitar is of size as mentioned in cabin baggage allowance, it can be taken as a part of cabin bag but if the size is more, you will have to buy a seat to take it in cabin, else take it in check-in luggage.

The size of each checkin bag shall be less than 158 cm linear dimensions. If this can be carried within free allowance limits, there shall not be a need to pay for it. However, we still advise you to confirm it with the airport office of the airline.

You have not mentioned the cabin class of travel. If it is economy, you are allowed 2 bags of 23 kg each per passenger (adult or child) in check-in luggage. Cabin baggage allowance is of 1 pcs of 5 kg per passenger.

Cabin allowance is of 5 kg and check in allowance is of 2 bags of 23 kg each in economy class ticket. Please also check you airline ticket as the allowance is given on ticket. Backpack will be taken as another cabin baggage. We suggest that you take only cabin bag and one standard laptop bag..

Students are allowed to take one additional check in baggage. For this they need to apply. Students have to provide to the agency where they booked tickets, the following docs: Tickets, passport copies, student card, school admission.

Sorry for the earlier reply. It was for China Eastern. For China Southern, and for your route where KLM is expected to be a codeshare partner, the allowance of respective airlines will apply. So, KLM might allow 1 check in bag of 23 kg, China Southern will allow 2 bags of 23 k each for economy class travelers.

Yes, it is an excess piece of check in baggage but it might not entail the given charges. You are entitled to the extra baggage allowance of 1 check in bag being a foreign student and going from the country of your school to the country of your nationality.
This can be availed only when you have given an application in this respect to the airline or the agency directly under the airline at the time of booking and also provided the relevant docs (such as passport, visa and student ID). If you have not done at the time of ticket booking, then you shall call the airline to know whether this can be done at the time of check-in.

The bike can be carried in check in if it is within the permitted check in baggage allowance limits by size and weight. You have not mentioned the origin place of your itinerary. If the battery is removable, it needs to be taken in cabin with proper insulation. If it is not removable, then it has to properly insulated. However, the airline personnel at airport have the right to refuse the carriage.

You have not mentioned the place of origin of the flight. We are assuming this is an international flight to Bali. These equipments are not considered as a part of the check in baggage allowance and he might have to pay for it. Sum of dimensions of the wakeboard shall not be more than 300 cm.

Check in allowance is 2 bags of 23 kg each and 1 cabin bag of up to 5 kg weight + 1 personal item (which can be laptop). DSLR can also be carried in cabin but batteries have to be removed and packed separately in cabin baggage.

It is 1000 CNY/pcs in economy and premium economy class for 1 extra check-in bag of 23 kg. You can convert CNY to CAD.
For Business and First class passengers, the fee is CNY 1000/pc for 1 extra check-in bag of 32 kg.
