Dragon Air allows carriage of hand baggage up to 5 kg weight and of maximum dimensions 56, 36 and 23 cms per adult or child passenger (but not an infant). Besides the hand baggage, it also allows carriage of two personal items including assistive devices such as canes, crutches, wheelchair or walker and a small handbag or backpack or laptop or briefcase.
However, if you are travelling with an infant or a child, you can also bring an approved car safety seat, collapsible or foldable stroller (within cabin luggage allowance restrictions), small bag of baby food and other necessities which have to used during the flight.
If you have bought duty free items, the total weight limit has to remain at 5 kg only for cabin luggage.
Dragon Air has two types of baggage allowance policies pertaining to piece and weight concept based markets.
Weight based markets are all destinations except Americas (north, south, central). Adult and child passengers are allowed 20, 30 and 40 kg allowance in economy, business and first class cabin respectively. Infants on any class of travel are allowed 10 kg. Besides, there is increased allowance for the Marco Polo Club members. These members get enhances check in luggage allowance of additional 10, 15 and 20 kg for Silver, Gold and Diamond members respectively.
Where piece concept applies (Americas), the allowance is 2 pcs of 23kg, 32kg, and 32 kg respectively for economy, business and first class passengers respectively. Sum total of dimensions of each bag shall not exceed 158 cm. For infants, allowance is 1 bag of 23, 32, 32 kgs for economy, business and first class travellers respectively. Sum of dimension of infant bag shall not be more than 115 cm. Diamond and Gold members of the frequent flyer program-Marco Polo- are allowed to carry 3 pcs of bag with maximum weight of one bag being 23, 32, 32 kg for economy, business and first class passengers respectively. Sum of dimensions of their bags shall not exceed 158 cms.
For connecting flights provided by other carriers, the allowance of that carrier will apply which operates on the longer route of flight. It is not dependent on which airline booked the ticket.
Excess Baggage charges
Excess baggage is charged on the basis of weight in weight-concept markets and on the basis of number of pcs carried in piece-concept markets. Bag shall not weigh over 32 kg and be of more than 203 cms dimension. If any baggage exceeds this limit, prior approval is required from the airline. This must be notified at the time of booking the tickets.
