Hainan Airlines has head office in Haikou, Hainan, People's Republic of China. Following is the check-in and carry-on baggage allowance policy of the airline.
For Cabin Baggage (Hand Baggage standards using the weight concept for domestic flights, China, Luanda, Maldives and Okinawa) every piece of carry on baggage should not be in excess of 5 kgs in weight, and the size cannot exceed 20 x 40 x 55 cm.
Passengers with First Class and Business class tickets could carry two bags each; passengers with Economy class tickets can carry one bag.
Members of Fortune Wings Gold/Silver Card Members, Company VIPs and CIPs could carry pieces of luggage corresponding to the number of bags permitted in the class of ticket which they purchase.
The Hand Baggage has to be of the appropriate size in order to be tucked under the seat in front of the passenger or in a closed baggage bay.
For Carry On Baggage charge standards using the piece concept
(from China to Almaty/Busan/Canada/Europe/Oceania cross strait flights/Russia/Singapore/United States)
1. For flights leaving from the United States
a. One piece of Carry On Bag is allowed per passenger
b. Each carry on Bag can not exceed 10 kgs (22lbs) in weight, 115 cms (45 inches) i dimensions (length + width + height) and needs to be sizable enough to fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of the passenger.
c. Apart from a complimentery carry on bag a passenger can bring, they cay can carry one personal item like a laptop, briefcase, etc. Items like enabling instruments (crutches, wheelchairs etc), duty free goods, bag for photography devices, musical instruments. (Liquid items like gels, aerosols, bought prior to security check would not be handed over until embarkation time.)
2. Other International Flights
Passengers with First Class and Business Class tickets could carry two pieces of carry on bags and passengers with Economy Class tickets could carry one piece of carry on bag. Members of Fortune Wings Gold/Silver Card Members, company VIPs and CIPs may bring could carry pieces of luggage corresponding to the number of bags permitted in the class of ticket which they purchase.
One piece of carry-on can not exceed 10 kgs (22 lbs), with bag dimensions not in excess of 115 cms (45 inches), and it should be sizable enough to be fit into the baggage bin above the seats or to be tucked under the seat in front of the passenger.
Small Animals accompanying passengers, their containers and food , which are carried as checked baggage would not be calculated with free baggage allowance.
