Personal Item
One personal item, such as purse, laptop bag or diaper bag of dimension not exceeding 45cm×35cm×20cm is also allowed.
Additional Items
Small camera, jacket, umbrella, pair of binoculars, small duty-free bag and some reading material is allowed as well.
Small musical instruments can be carried on-board so long as these do not exceed the size and weight limits of carry on baggage. Else, these have to be sent in check-in.
If musical instrument is to be carried on seat, max weight permitted is 45 kg and dimensions shall not exceed that of seat 41 cm (L) x 41 cm (W) x 90 cm (H).
Check-in baggage allowance depends on a number of factors. These are: route and cabin fare bought.
Maximum weight per person allowed is 23 kg and total dimensions of the check-in bag shall not be more than 158 cm in linear dimensions (sum of three dimensions).

Infants of less than 2 years of age are allowed one check in bag of 23 kg as allowance. Collapsible stroller, bassinet or safety chair can be taken in cabin.
Black, Black Signature and Platinum members are permitted to take an additional check-in baggage piece of 23 kg. For domestic flights in Brazil, Gold members are allowed additional item of 23 kg.
Passengers with following cards are allowed one additional check-in baggage of 23 kg:
- Platinum Santander LATAM Pass, WorldMember Ferrari, WorldMember or WorldMember Limited (Chile)
- Visa LATAM Pass Infinite Banco BCP (Peru)
- Visa Platinum or Signature LATAM Pass from Banco de Bogotá y de Occidente (Colombia)

The policy of LATAM airlines with respect to carriage of Sports, Musical instruments and other special baggage items has changed for fares bought on or after January 17, 2018.
Very large items of sports have to be sent through the cargo route.

Musical Instruments such as guitar have to be carried in hard cases and in the hold of airplane. If the allowance of check-in baggage permits, guitar can be carried free of cost, otherwise, it has to be paid for.
