Business class- The New Focus Market of Global Carriers

June 25, 2014

Airlines industry is highly dynamic and responds to the market requirements well in time. The carriers which are able to spot the opportunity at first are able to make good profits, ahead of those which enter late and even out the prices. While the LCC, the low cost carriers, have been largely successful in the world aviation markets around the globe and have opened up the budget travel market, there is a new shift in the market dynamics. This new emerging scenario is oriented more towards the business class travel.

As the regions have developed and there has been increased interaction among the people for business purposes, a demand has come into existence for increasing the business class capacity in certain important business routes of the airlines. This has led to many changes in how airlines react to the situation.

Some of the transatlantic routes will now be served by exclusive business class travelers. London and Paris are connected with New York by carriers which have only business class. At the same time, some airlines of the South East Asian region such as Singapore Airlines are now adding more business class capacity to their planes which fly to the Indian cities. This could even be a precursor to the exclusive business class flying, just as some carriers like La Compaigne have initiated it on the transatlantic routes.

Surely, business class is likely to have far better flying experiences in future.
