Etihad airlines and SAS have now entered into a codeshare agreement expanding their reach into each other’s networks. Etihad Airlines of UAE already has agreements with 47 other airlines of the world whereas SAS already has this agreement with 22 other airlines of the world.

The main highlights of the agreement are:

1. Improvement in flight connections to two major cities of Scandinavian region- Stockholm and Oslo. Besides, Copenhagen will also be added to the reached destinations.
2. SAS will also be able to place its code on flights originating from Abu Dhabi and connecting major European cities such as Brussels, Dusseldorf, Milan, Geneva, Zurich, etc.
3. Etihad will place its code on SAS operated flights from these destinations to the SAS hubs in above mentioned Scandinavian cities and to the other cities from thereon.
