Flights to Tanzanian capital from Dubai are increasing and at good pace, highlighting the importance being attached to Dar es Salaam tourism and business potential. Close on the heels of Flydubai launching daily flights to this east African city, Emirates has announced a major expansion on this route. Emirates will now be flying 12 weekly flights to this city. In total, these two airlines combined will be providing 19 flights per week from Dubai.
Emirates alone carried about 1.8 lakh passengers to Dar es Salaam from Dubai, which the airline wants to increase significantly in near future. By providing enhanced connectivity, the two carriers are banking on increase in tourism to the wonderful beaches of Zanzibar as well as opportunities of wildlife safaris in northern part of Africa. Another important factor will be increase in business opportunities for the people.
Emirates Airline has significantly added the passenger capacity on this route with this expansion. Besides passenger capacity of 2370 seats, cargo capacity of 170 tons per week has also been added. These connections will also provide more options for the passengers of Emirates to look beyond Indian subcontinent.
