November 26, 2014

AirAsia India, the budget airliner of India, which is also a joint venture between Tatas, AirAsia and Telstra Trade Place, is now on expansion track. Though some of the other subsidiaries of AirAsia are facing the profits crunch and are flying in financial rough weather, it has an upbeat mood with respect to India.

AirAsia India will be introducing the flight from Goa to Chandigarh on November 30, 2014. Chandigarh holds a lot of importance for reaching to tourist destinations of Shimla, kullu and Manali. Goa is also a tourist hub. So, it will be a handshake between two prominent tourist destinations of the country, one in North India and the other in South India.

The other two tourist routes would be Bangalore-Pune-Jaipur and Bangalore-Pune-Goa. With winters around and people flocking to the ever hot destination of Goa, the flights to Goa are always to be welcomed. Similarly, the capital city of Jaipur is also a major tourist centre.

AirAsia has gone to touch the tourist routes in this phase of expansion.
