Go Air to Begin Orissa Flight Operations From October 2014

Go Air, the low cost carrier of India, is set to expand its operations with the plans to operate flights from Bhubaneswar in Orissa.  Go Air will add this city to its tally of destinations from October 26. It will begin with 4 daily flights, 2 to Delhi and 1 each to Mumbai and Kolkata. At present there are 16 flights being operated from this airport and after Go Air begins its operations, the total daily flights will be 20.

 

Here is a list of the airlines operating flights from Bhubaneswar to other Indian cities:

Bangalore

IndiGo (Direct 4 per week: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 2 connecting flights: 1 each via Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam)

Hyderabad

IndiGo (Direct 2 per day: All days a week)

Kolkata

IndiGo (Direct 2 per day: All days a week)

Mumbai

IndiGo ( Direct 2 per day: All days a week; 1 connecting per day via Hyderabad));  Air India (Direct 1 per day: All days a week)

New Delhi

IndiGo (Direct 3 per day: All days a week); Air India (Direct 2 per day: All days a week)

Port Blair

Alliance Air (Direct 4 flights per week: Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Saturday)

Visakhapatnam

IndiGo (Direct 1+ flight per day: one flight operates all days a week and the other one operates on Monday, Thursday and Saturday)

It is noteworthy that GoAir is the second airline to earn profits in FY 2014 and has its operations restricted only to Indian cities at present.
