Air India has brought out a limited period offer of increased baggage allowance on all economy class fares for domestic travel from 15 kg to 25 kg. This is a big jump in the passenger baggage allowance and comes as a surprise at a time when other airlines around the world are getting strict on implementing luggage rules and reducing allowances. Besides increased allowance for adult passengers, even infants would be entitled to a 10 kg allowance. Offer would be valid for those Alliance Air passengers who are making connections with Air India flights but will not be available to passengers who are travelling solely by Alliance Air.

This is a limited period offer from August 12, 2015 to February 7, 2016 and would hold true even for tickets booked before August 12, 2015.
