That mobile applications can be used for improving the customer experience by the airline companies has been amply demonstrated yet again, this time by none other than German carrier Lufthansa. The largest carrier in Europe, both in terms of numbers of passengers carried and fleet size, has brought out the application with loaded features that will provide travelers with information about the destinations reached right from the time of making the booking to landing.

The application will also help in tracking of the lost luggage. It will also be able to send advanced notification to your contacts informing them of your arrival at the airport. At the same time, passengers will also be alerted if there are any problems at the immigration or customs. Improvement in customer service has been one of the key focus areas of airlines in the wake of stiffening competition and the need to maintain a loyal customer bases. Companies are trying all means available at their disposal to meet this objective with mobile technology being the prime focus of these companies .
