Tiger Airways is now a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, codeshares with Eva

Singapore Airlines, one of the most reputed airlines of South East Asian region, has increased its stake in Tiger Airways from 40 percent to 56 percent, making Tiger a subsidiary of the legacy carrier. Tiger is a low cost carrier that was soon to fold up its operations.

The matter of acquisition of stake was pending before the Competition Commission of Singapore which granted it permission to increase the stake and allowed Tiger to become its subsidiary.

SIA has also entered into a codeshare agreement with EVA Air, a Taiwanese airline. EVA Air flights to American cities of LA, Seattle, JFK airport in NY, San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver will now be code-shared with SIA.
